Just a couple of FAQ’s for good measure!
What should I bring?
Trail shoes or a tuned-up bike, hydration, sunscreen, bug spray, bear bell, first aid kit, and a change of clothes. Pack like you’re heading into the wild—because you are.
Is it family-friendly?
Totally. We’ve got short distances, mellow trails, and a welcoming community vibe. Kids and adults race in separate categories.
Is there water on site?
A limited amount. Please bring your own full bottles or hydration packs. There will be refill stations but they may run low.
Will there be food?
Yes! Local vendors will be onsite with food, drinks, and snacks. Bring cash or card and support small businesses. But don’t forget to bring some of your own just to sure!
Can I camp overnight?
Yes! Bring a tent or van, and note that fire bans are likely—only propane fire pits are allowed. More camping info here →
Anything else I should know?
Swimsuits for Silverthorne Lake, fishing rods (license required), visitor guides from the Houston Visitor Centre—and your best trail mood.
